Your first resource

A repeatable install checklist for a Nomad Interactive FiveM script.

🔎 1. Identify your release

Resource name and versionSupport needs the exact release.

Supported frameworkA bridge must match your server.

Required dependenciesStart them in the correct order.

SQL or migration filesDatabase changes may be version specific.

💾 2. Back up and stage

Copy edited configs and back up your database before an update. Make the first install on a test server when possible.

Read the package. Open the official README, fxmanifest.lua, config and release notes. Do not assume a different Nomad script uses the same switches.

Install the resource. Place the resource folder under resources, apply any required SQL once, and set the documented options. Ensure prerequisites first.

Test one complete flow. Join as a non-admin player and test the script’s primary action. Compare server and client console output and note the first failure.

📝 3. Keep a record

Save the release version, changes made, and a short pass/fail note. This makes updates and support tickets much easier.

Never copy commands or event names from another resource’s guide until the current release confirms them.
